Interstice Launches a Canton Swap Engine With FalconX Liquidity
The non-custodial engine links Canton with Ethereum, Solana and Robinhood Chain. Interstice says it has Featured App status on Canton; supported assets and volumes were not disclosed.
Interstice Digital has launched a cross-chain swap engine that connects the Canton Network with Ethereum, Solana and Robinhood Chain, with liquidity supplied by FalconX. The company announced the product in a press release on 18 August 2026, as reported by Cointelegraph that day and by crypto.news on 19 August.
What was launched
- Four networks. Users can swap assets between Canton, Ethereum, Solana and Robinhood Chain.
- Non-custodial. Interstice says it does not take custody of assets and does not execute transactions on users' behalf.
- FalconX liquidity. FalconX, a digital asset prime brokerage for institutional investors, provides the liquidity for swaps routed through the engine.
- Featured App. Interstice says the product has been named a Featured App on Canton, according to crypto.news.
The company did not say which assets are supported at launch, and it gave no volume figures for the engine.
Who is behind it
Interstice Digital is a wholly owned subsidiary of Everyrealm. Both outlets name a16z crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Galaxy and Brevan Howard among its backers.
Quoted by crypto.news, Interstice's chief executive, Janine Yorio, presents the engine as a way to connect Solana, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain to the Canton ecosystem. FalconX's head of trading strategy, Hassan Bassiri, describes it as the kind of infrastructure the market needs. Both outlets describe the purpose as linking tokenized assets on Canton with liquidity and trading activity on public chains.
Why it matters
Much of the crypto market's liquidity sits on chains such as Ethereum and Solana, while Canton's strength is tokenized real-world assets. A non-custodial route between them, backed by an institutional liquidity provider, could make it easier to move value in and out of Canton.
Featured App status also has an economic side. Under Canton's rules, Featured Apps can earn Canton Coin app rewards for the activity they generate, and an approved proposal, CIP-0104, would tie those rewards to the traffic an app's transactions burn.
Without a list of assets or any volume data, it is too early to judge how much use the engine will get.
