Política de cookies

Este documento se publica en inglés, y el texto en inglés es la versión vinculante.
- CantonCap keeps only what the site needs in your browser: your choices, your watchlist, your assistant conversation for the visit and, if you sign in, your session.
- Everything is first-party. None of it is used for advertising, and none of it is read by anyone but you and our own site.
- The site counts its visits itself without any cookie or storage on your device, so there is nothing to allow for that.
- Google Analytics loads only if you allow it, and stops the moment you switch it off.
- You can change your choice at any time with Cookie Settings at the foot of every page.
El resumen te ayuda a leer el documento. Lo que se aplica es el texto completo que sigue.
This policy lists every cookie and item of browser storage the CantonCap website sets, why, and how to change your choice. It forms part of the Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally. Every item is set by cantoncap.cc itself; no advertising network or other third party sets anything through our pages, and nothing on CantonCap is used for advertising.
1. What we store
| Name | Kind | Purpose and duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
cc_consent | Cookie | Your cookie choice, so the site does not ask again and the server respects it. 12 months. | Necessary |
cc.consent | Local storage | The same choice, with the date it was made, for the site’s own code. | Necessary |
cc-locale | Cookie | The language you picked from the language menu, so the site opens in it. Set only when you pick one. 12 months. | Necessary |
sb-…-auth-token | Cookie | Keeps you signed in to your account, and is deleted when you sign out. Set only when you sign in; may be split into numbered parts. Up to 400 days. | Necessary |
sb-…-auth-token-code-verifier | Cookie | A one-time check that protects sign-in with Google or Apple, used while you return from them. | Necessary |
cc.theme | Local storage | Light or dark, when you have chosen one rather than following the system. | Necessary |
cc.watchlistcc.watchlist.log | Local storage | The assets you have starred, and when you starred or removed each, so a signed-in account and this browser agree. | Necessary |
cc.columnscc.columns.knowncc.rowscc.venue.columns | Local storage | The columns you show and the rows per page you chose in the tables. | Necessary |
cc.chart.modecc.chart.candlecc.chart.range | Local storage | Your chart choices: candles or line, the candle length and the span. | Necessary |
cc.search.recent | Local storage | The last coins you opened from search, at most eight, so the search can offer them again. Cleared with its Clear link. | Necessary |
cc.seen | Local storage | Which assets this browser has already seen, so the New view can show only what is new. | Necessary |
cc.app.banner | Local storage | When you closed the card offering the app, so it stays away for 30 days. | Necessary |
cc.watchlist.pendingcc.vote.pending | Local storage | A star or a vote you gave before signing in, kept for up to a day so that it can be saved to your account once you are signed in. | Necessary |
cc.assistant | Local storage | That you removed the AI assistant, so it stays away until you bring it back. | Necessary |
cc.assistant.noticecc.assistant.hint | Local storage | That you closed the assistant’s notes, so they are not shown again. | Necessary |
cc.assistant.hiddencc.assistant.chat | Session storage | That you hid the assistant for this visit, and your conversation with it, so it survives a change of page. Cleared when the tab closes. | Necessary |
cc.announcements.never | Local storage | The notices from CantonCap you chose not to see again. | Necessary |
cc.announcements.closedcc.announcements.counted | Session storage | The notices you closed in this visit, and those already counted as shown, so a notice is counted once per visit. Cleared when the tab closes. | Necessary |
cc.article.read.… | Session storage | Which articles this tab has already counted as read, so a read is counted once per visit. Cleared when the tab closes. | Necessary |
cc.a | Session storage | Whether this tab has painted once, so the arrival animation plays only on a cold load. Cleared when the tab closes. | Necessary |
_ga | Cookie | Google Analytics: a random identifier that tells one browser’s visits from another’s. 2 years. | Analytics |
_ga_LDLVV5KSJE | Cookie | Google Analytics: the state of the current visit, for this site’s measurement. 2 years. | Analytics |
“Local storage” and “session storage” are the browser’s own storage areas. Unlike a cookie, they are never sent to our servers with a request; the site reads them only in your browser. Local storage stays until you or the site clear it; session storage is cleared when you close the tab. The sign-in cookies, whose names carry our authentication project’s identifier where the table shows “…”, are sent to our servers so that they know who is signed in. The conversation with the assistant kept in session storage is a copy for the open tab; what the assistant keeps on our side is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Categories and the basis for each
The cookie banner offers Accept All, Necessary Only and Settings, and the settings offer three categories. Each item in the table belongs to one of them.
Necessary
Storage the site does not work without, or that only keeps a choice you made yourself: your consent record, your sign-in when you sign in, your language when you pick one, the settings that make the page you see the page you chose, a star or a vote waiting for your sign-in, and your assistant conversation for the visit. Two session items only stop the same notice or article from being counted twice in one visit; they hold no identifier, and nothing in them leaves your browser. The law allows storage that is strictly necessary for a service you asked for without consent, so these items cannot be switched off in the settings: switching them off would break the site or undo your own choices rather than protect you. They carry no data about you beyond the choice itself and, for the sign-in cookies, which account is signed in.
Preferences
Optional settings the site works without. They stay off unless you allow them. Nothing in this category is stored today; if we add something, we will list it here first and ask you again.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It runs only after you switch Analytics on, through Accept All or in the cookie settings. Until then the Google tag is not loaded, no cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google.
Once allowed, it records the pages you view and how you use them, such as how far you scroll, the links you follow out of the site and the searches you make on it, together with your browser, device type, screen size, the page that referred you and an approximate location. It tells your visits apart by the random identifier in _ga. It uses your IP address only to estimate that location, and does not log or store it. Google signals and advertising personalisation are switched off, so nothing is joined to a Google account or used for ads.
Google keeps the visit-level data for at most fourteen months; the counts built from it, which name no one, are kept longer. Google may process the data in the United States, where Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
3. Visit statistics, without cookies
Apart from Google Analytics, the website counts its own visits: which pages are read, where readers come from, and events such as a sign-up, a checkout or a tap on an app store link. It sets no cookie for this and stores nothing in your browser, so the banner does not ask about it and nothing changes when you switch Analytics on or off. Your IP address is used only for a moment, to derive the country and a code that tells one visitor’s pages apart for that day, and is never kept. How it works, and how long the counts are kept, is in section 3.14 of the privacy policy.
4. Other sites we send you to
When you buy an API plan you are taken to a checkout page hosted by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. and Stripe, Inc.. When you sign in with Google or Apple you are taken to their pages. Those pages are on their own domains and set their own cookies, under their own policies (for Stripe, stripe.com/cookies-policy). Nothing from those pages is set on cantoncap.cc.
Images and videos in issuers’ posts from X load from X’s media servers. We do not load X’s scripts, and no cookie is set on cantoncap.cc for them.
5. In the app
The iPhone and Android app uses no cookies, no advertising identifier and no analytics. It keeps your settings, your watchlist, your alerts, the assets you viewed recently and the latest figures and articles it read in the phone’s own storage, and your sign-in and the secret that identifies the phone for price alerts in the Keychain or the Keystore. If you add a widget, the app shares your watchlist and language with it on the phone. All of it is deleted when you delete the app.
6. Your consent and changing your choice
The banner appears on your first visit and asks again whenever we change what a category covers. We record your choice and when you made it in your browser: in a cookie for twelve months, and in local storage until you change it or clear it. Until you choose, only necessary items are set.
Open , also linked at the foot of every page, to change what you allow at any time; withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Switching Analytics off stops Google Analytics at once, in every open tab, and deletes its two cookies from this browser. Your browser can also clear or block storage for this site; if it blocks the necessary items, the site still loads but forgets your settings between visits, and you cannot stay signed in.
