OneSwap Bridges Eight Chains Into CC, a Month After Squid Launched Intents on Canton
The OneSwap Bridge, powered by Squid Router, moves USDC, USDT, ETH and other assets from Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and five more networks into Canton Coin and back.
OneSwap, a decentralised exchange on the Canton Network, said on 29 September 2026 that its OneSwap Bridge is live. The bridge is powered by Squid Router and lets users move into Canton Coin (CC) from eight other blockchains, and back out again. The announcement was made on X and relayed to the Canton forum.
What the bridge supports
According to OneSwap's post, the bridge connects CC with:
- Chains: Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Optimism, Avalanche and Linea.
- Assets: USDC, USDT, ETH, BNB, POL and AVAX.
In other words, a user holding one of those assets on a supported chain can arrive on Canton holding CC, and can later move out the same way. OneSwap did not publish fees, limits or volumes with the announcement.
Squid's launch on Canton
The bridge runs on Squid's router. Squid announced Squid Intents on Canton on 4 September. According to Squid's post on the Canton forum, the launch offered:
- RFQ liquidity for same-chain CC swaps, with more tokens to be listed;
- instant swaps and bridging from any token on 30 chains;
- wallet support through CIP-103, Canton's dApp standard for wallet connections;
- a widget and an API for other apps to integrate swaps and bridging.
Squid's post said more tokens would be listed in the following week, and invited projects to get in touch about asset listings and multi-chain connections.
A note on the sources
Both announcements were first made on X, which CantonCap could not read directly; the details above come from the companies' posts on the Canton forum. As with any cross-chain route, users should check supported assets and addresses in the official interface before moving funds.
Why it matters
Getting assets onto Canton has often meant going through a centralised exchange that supports CC. A direct route from the main EVM chains into CC on a Canton DEX gives DeFi users who already hold stablecoins or ETH elsewhere a way in without an exchange account. It also gives Canton's own venues a new source of incoming liquidity.
