CC Sets an All-Time High Near $0.195 in February, Then Gives It Back to End the First Quarter Slightly Lower
CoinGecko data shows Canton Coin at about $0.153 on 1 January and about $0.150 at the end of March, after a rally from a January low near $0.108 to a record on 3 February.
Canton Coin (CC) finished the first quarter of 2026 close to where it began, after a swing that took it to a new all-time high in early February. CoinGecko's hourly data shows CC at about $0.1528 at 00:00 UTC on 1 January and about $0.1501 at 21:00 UTC on 31 March, a fall of roughly 1.8% for the quarter. All figures are CoinGecko readings, rounded.
The shape of the quarter
- A January dip. CC slipped from its opening level to the quarter's low of about $0.1078 at 19:00 UTC on 19 January, roughly 30% below where it started the year.
- A rally to a record. It then climbed for two weeks, closing January at about $0.1797, and reached its all-time high of about $0.1946 at 08:00 UTC on 3 February. That was about 80% above the January low.
- A slow retreat. CC eased through February, closing the month at about $0.1677, and lost more ground in March, ending the quarter around $0.150.
CoinGecko's market capitalisation figure for CC was about $5.63 billion at the start of the year, peaked at about $7.32 billion during the February rally, and stood at about $5.73 billion at the end of March.
Volume
CoinGecko's 24-hour volume figure stayed mostly between about $4 million and $75 million during the quarter, with heavier readings around the turn of the year and during the rally into early February. The series also shows two stretches of far higher readings, peaking at about $460 million on 28 February and about $260 million on 13 March, that end abruptly. CantonCap could not match either to an event and treats them with caution.
The news around it
The rally coincided with a run of governance and institutional news. Nasdaq was approved as a Super Validator in early January, and on 15 January a working group including Euroclear, Euronext and LSEG published cross-border intraday repo trades on Canton. In March, the Foundation approved Visa and Apollo as Super Validators. The data shows the timing of these events, not that they caused the moves.
Reading the figures
These are CoinGecko's aggregated prices and can differ from other providers and from prices on Canton's own venues. Market capitalisation for CC depends on how each provider counts circulating supply.
Why it matters
The quarter set the reference point for CC's price history: the high of about $0.195 on 3 February is still the token's record on CoinGecko. It also showed how far CC can travel inside a few weeks, with an 80% move from low to high between 19 January and 3 February. Past moves say nothing about future prices.
