HIFI, the Dollar On-Ramp Behind USDCx on Canton, Raises $37 Million
Left Lane Capital led the Series A. HIFI, which converts US dollars into USDCx for Canton wallets, says it handles more than $7 billion a year in volume across 87 countries.
HIFI, a New York company that builds payment and settlement infrastructure, has raised a $37 million Series A led by Left Lane Capital, The Block reported on 24 September 2026. For Canton users, HIFI is one of the routes between a US bank account and USDCx, the USDC-backed dollar token on the network.
The round
- Lead investor. Left Lane Capital led the $37 million round.
- What HIFI sells. API infrastructure that ties money movement, compliance and settlement together across bank rails and digital assets.
- Scale, by its own account. HIFI says it handles more than $7 billion in annualised volume across 87 countries. Cointelegraph cites chief executive Zach Walsh putting annualised volume at about $7 billion.
- Use of funds. According to Cointelegraph, the money goes into tokenized capital markets infrastructure and stablecoin payment products.
- DTCC. The Block says HIFI took part in DTCC's July production trades using DTC-tokenized securities. DTCC said on 15 July that those trades ran on its private network and on Canton; The Block does not say which network HIFI's trades used.
The Canton link
Neither funding report mentions Canton. The connection comes from two announcements in June:
- Temple Digital Group said HIFI converts US dollars from a user's bank account into USDCx and delivers them to the user's non-custodial Canton wallet, and converts them back the other way.
- The Canton Network blog said HIFI settles payments in USDCx on Canton.
USDCx has also served as the cash leg in institutional tests on the network: on 1 July, Tradeweb's tokenized US Treasury trade on Canton settled against USDCx.
Why it matters
Fiat on-ramps limit how quickly money can reach any network. HIFI is one of the paths from US bank accounts into USDCx on Canton, so a better-funded HIFI could mean more capacity for dollar flows into Canton wallets and venues.
The numbers need context. HIFI's $7 billion figure covers its whole business, and the company has not said how much of that volume touches Canton. The funding coverage also does not say how much of the new money, if any, is earmarked for Canton work.
