Canton Coin Lists on Upbit and Bitget in April, Including Upbit's Korean Won Market
Upbit opened CC trading in its KRW, BTC and USDT markets on 15 April after a one-day delay; Bitget followed on 24 April with a CC/USDT pair and a 2.79 million CC promotion.
Canton Coin (CC) gained two large exchange listings in April 2026. Upbit, a major South Korean exchange, opened CC trading on 15 April, and Bitget opened a CC/USDT spot market on 24 April.
Upbit: a one-day delay
Upbit posted its listing notice at 14:00 Korea time on 14 April 2026, for its Korean won (KRW), bitcoin (BTC) and tether (USDT) markets, with deposits and withdrawals only on the Canton network. Trading was scheduled for 16:00 that day.
At 15:36 the same day, Upbit postponed both the opening of deposits and withdrawals and the start of trading, saying further checks were needed in its deposit and withdrawal test. On 15 April it opened deposits and withdrawals and started trading at 15:00 Korea time (06:00 UTC).
The notice set the usual restrictions for a new listing: buy orders blocked for about five minutes, sell orders more than 10% below the previous close blocked for the same period, and only limit orders for about two hours. Users had to include a memo with deposits.
CoinGecko's 24-hour volume figure for CC rose from about $4.6 million at 00:00 UTC on 13 April to about $58 million at 00:00 UTC on 16 April, its highest daily reading of the quarter so far.
Bitget: Launchpool and CandyBomb
Bitget announced on 23 April that CC would join its spot market and Launchpool. Trading in CC/USDT opened at 10:00 UTC on 24 April, with withdrawals from 10:00 UTC on 25 April. Bitget set aside 2,792,000 CC for promotions: a 1,800,000 CC Launchpool for users locking BGB, USDGO or CC from 24 April to 1 May, plus two CandyBomb trading campaigns of 442,000 CC and 550,000 CC.
Already trading elsewhere
CC was already available on several global exchanges. CriptoNoticias reported on 14 April that it traded on exchanges such as Bybit, OKX, Kraken, MEXC, KuCoin and Gate.
Why it matters
Korean won markets are among the most active in crypto trading, and the Upbit listing opens CC to that exchange's retail users in their home currency. Listings like these mainly add trading venues and liquidity; they say nothing about the network's fundamentals. Launchpool rewards also add CC to circulation among exchange users.
