이 문서는 영어로 게시되며, 영어 원문이 구속력 있는 버전입니다.
- These terms apply, with the Terms of Use, to everyone who uses the CantonCap API with a key.
- A key belongs to you or your organisation. Keep it secret: you are responsible for every request made with it.
- Each plan has limits on requests per minute, history, page size and streams. A request over a limit is refused, never billed.
- You may build your own products on the data, crediting CantonCap where you show it publicly. You may not resell the API, share your key, redistribute the data in bulk or build a competing dataset.
- Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time. Payments are not refundable, except as these terms or the law provide.
- The data is provided as it is, without a guaranteed uptime unless we agree one in writing, and our liability is capped at the fees you paid in the last twelve months.
요약은 문서를 읽는 데 도움을 드리기 위한 것입니다. 적용되는 것은 아래의 전문입니다.
These API Terms govern your access to and use of the CantonCap API. They form part of the Terms of Use, whose definitions apply here, and they prevail over the Terms of Use on anything about the API. “You” is the person or organisation that holds an API key. By buying a Plan, receiving an API Key or calling the API, you accept them.
1. Definitions
- The “API” is the CantonCap REST interface at api.cantoncap.cc, its streams, and any software development kit we provide for it.
- The “Documentation” is the documentation at docs.cantoncap.cc and the API’s published contract.
- A “Plan” is a paid or agreed level of access with its limits, as shown on the API page or in a written order with us.
- An “API Key” is the credential we issue to you for a Plan.
- “Market Data” has the meaning in the Terms of Use, as delivered by the API, and “your Application” is any product, service, analysis or publication in which you use it.
2. Access and API keys
You obtain a Plan by paying for it by card on the API page once card payment is offered there, or by written agreement with us. We do not accept payment in crypto assets. Issuance is currently confirmed by a person, and we aim to complete it within one business day of payment. We make the API Key available in the API Keys section of the Account registered to the email address you gave when you bought the Plan, or by another secure route we agree with you. We never send an API Key’s secret by email. Revealing it needs a recent sign-in.
Your API Key is personal to you or your organisation and must be kept confidential. Do not embed it in software that others can read, such as a web page, a mobile app or a public repository; call the API from your own servers. You are responsible for every request made with your API Key. Tell us at once at api@cantoncap.cc if it may have been exposed. You can replace a key in your Account, and the old one keeps working for a short overlap so that you can switch without interruption. We may revoke a key we believe to be compromised and issue you another.
3. Plan limits
Each Plan sets the requests you may make per minute, how far back one request may reach into history, the largest page you may request and the number of streams you may hold open at once. The limits are shown on the API page and in the Documentation, and every response states your remaining allowance in its headers. A request beyond a limit is refused with an error that says when to retry; it is never billed. You may not use several keys, accounts or identities to exceed the limits of one Plan.
We may change the limits of a Plan with thirty days’ notice by email. If a change reduces the limits of a Plan you have already paid for, you may cancel and receive a refund for the remainder of the paid period, in proportion to the time left.
4. Licence to the Market Data and attribution
While your Plan is active and you comply with these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use the Market Data in your Application, including for commercial purposes, and to show it to the users of your Application, on these conditions:
- Attribution. Wherever Market Data is shown publicly, credit it as “Source: CantonCap” with, where the medium allows, a link to www.cantoncap.cc, unless our written agreement says otherwise.
- No bulk redistribution and no competing dataset. You may not redistribute the Market Data in bulk, sell or license it as a data feed, or offer a dataset, an index, an interface or a service that substantially reproduces the API or the Market Data or competes with CantonCap, and you may not use the Market Data to train or improve a model offered to others, without our written agreement.
- Keep the provenance. When you present a figure as a CantonCap figure, do not remove or alter the source, method and time information that comes with it, and do not describe a reference price as an exchange price or as a price at which anyone will trade.
- Caching. You may cache Market Data to run your Application efficiently, refreshed as the Documentation recommends, but not to build an archive that you make available to others.
The licence ends when your Plan ends. You must then stop using the API and delete cached Market Data, except figures already incorporated in analyses, reports or publications you made before then. We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted.
5. Prohibited uses
You may not:
- share, sell, sublicense or lend your API Key, or let anyone outside your organisation use it, except as part of your Application’s normal operation;
- offer the API itself, or access to it, as a service to others;
- use Market Data as a benchmark, an index or a reference rate for a financial instrument or a financial contract, or to determine a settlement, collateral or liquidation price, without our written agreement;
- use the API to manipulate a market, to mislead investors or users, or in breach of any law, regulation or sanction, or from a place or for a person the Terms of Use exclude;
- test the API’s load or security, or try to circumvent its authentication or limits;
- imply that CantonCap endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with your Application, or use our marks other than to give the attribution in section 4.
6. Fees, payment and taxes
Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT, sales tax and other taxes, which are added where the law requires and shown before you pay. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then current price until cancelled.
Card payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. and Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”), under Stripe’s own terms. Receipts, invoices, the payment method and cancellation are available in the customer portal linked from the API page and from your Account. If a payment fails and is not resolved within fourteen days, we may suspend the API Key until it is.
You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our income. If you buy for a business and the law requires you to withhold tax from a payment to us, you will pay the additional amount needed for us to receive the full price. Give us your tax identifier at checkout where you have one, so that the right tax treatment can be applied.
A change of price applies to new purchases. If we change the price of your subscription, we tell you by email at least thirty days before the renewal it first applies to, and you may cancel before then.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a subscription at any time in the customer portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your Plan stays active to the end of the period you paid for.
Payments are not refundable, except:
- where section 3 applies to a reduction of your Plan’s limits;
- where we discontinue the API, or end your Plan for a reason other than your breach, in which case we refund the unused part of the period you paid for;
- if you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom: you may withdraw from a purchase within fourteen days by telling us at api@cantoncap.cc. Because you ask us to start providing access at once, we refund the payment less an amount in proportion to the access provided before you withdrew;
- where the law of your country gives you a further right to a refund.
A refund, a reversed payment or a chargeback ends the Plan and revokes the API Key. If something is wrong with a charge, please write to api@cantoncap.cc before disputing it with your bank.
8. Availability, support and changes
We aim to keep the API available at all times and publish the state of its sources on the status page, but we do not promise a level of availability, latency or performance, and no service-level agreement or service credit applies, unless our written agreement with you says otherwise. We may carry out maintenance, which we try to schedule when it affects the fewest users.
We may add to and improve the API at any time. We give at least thirty days’ notice by email to key holders before a change that is not backwards compatible, unless a shorter period is needed for security, legal or source reasons, and we mark deprecations in the Documentation. Support for plans and billing is at api@cantoncap.cc, and for incidents and suspected wrong figures at tech@cantoncap.cc, at the level described for your Plan on the API page.
9. Data accuracy
Market Data is aggregated from third-party sources, computed under the methodology, and can be delayed, incomplete, revised or wrong. A missing value is a published finding, not a statement that nothing happened. You are responsible for checking the Market Data is fit for your Application, and for any decision you or your users take with it. If you believe a figure is wrong, tell us at tech@cantoncap.cc. The Disclaimer applies to all Market Data.
10. Your Application
You are responsible for your Application, for its compliance with the law, including any financial-services rules that apply to it, and for your relationship with its users. If your Application lets its users see Market Data, your terms with them must be at least as protective of the Market Data as sections 4 and 5, and must not suggest that we owe them anything. The API does not need personal data, and you must not send us any through it.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or revoke an API Key at once if you breach these terms, if a payment is overdue as section 6 describes, if the key appears compromised, if your use threatens the API, its sources or other users, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we tell you first and give you the chance to fix the problem. Either of us may end a Plan as sections 7 and 8 describe. Sections 4 (as to its end), 5, 9, 10, 12 and 13 survive termination.
12. Warranty and liability
The Terms of Use sections on disclaimers and limitation of liability apply to the API and the Market Data. For the API, our total liability for all claims arising from or in connection with the API in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid for your Plan in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim, and, if you are a consumer, to the greater of that amount and one hundred US dollars. The exceptions in the Terms of Use for liability that cannot be limited, and for consumers’ mandatory rights, apply here too.
13. Indemnity
If you use the API for business purposes, you agree to indemnify Titan Limited and its affiliates against any claim by a third party, and the resulting loss, liability or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your Application, your breach of these API Terms, or your use of the Market Data in breach of the law.
14. Written agreements
Enterprise plans and other written orders may set different limits, prices, service levels or licence terms. Where a written agreement signed by us conflicts with these terms, the written agreement prevails. Write to api@cantoncap.cc to discuss one.
