מסמך זה מתפרסם באנגלית, והנוסח האנגלי הוא הנוסח המחייב.
- The community and News are for Canton assets, venues and markets. Be honest, be civil, stay on topic.
- No scams, no market manipulation, no spam, no harassment and nothing illegal. Never ask anyone for a recovery phrase or a private key.
- Posts and articles are opinions, not advice. Say so when you hold, are paid for, or work on what you write about; undisclosed promotion is not allowed.
- Report content that breaks these rules. Three reports hide a post until we review it.
- We may remove content, pause posting or close accounts. We tell you why, and you can ask us to look again.
התקציר נועד לעזור בקריאת המסמך. הנוסח המלא שלהלן הוא הקובע.
These Community Guidelines set out what may be posted in the CantonCap community and written for News, on the website and in the app, and how we moderate it. They form part of the Terms of Use, and the defined terms there apply here. They cover posts, replies, reactions, votes, articles and their cover images, profiles (the username, display name, photo, biography and links) and reports.
1. What the community and News are for
Members discuss Canton assets, the venues that trade them and the market as a whole: analysis, opinions, questions, news with its source, a bullish or bearish lean on a first post, and a vote on an asset’s page. Members with a username can also write articles for News. Anyone can read the community and published articles; posting needs an Account and a username. Everything posted and published is public.
2. What is not allowed
Scams and fraud
- Asking for, or offering to “help” with, a recovery phrase, a private key, a password or a sign-in code. CantonCap never asks for any of them.
- Phishing or fake sites, fake giveaways and airdrops, “send one, get two back” schemes, fake support, and links to wallet drainers or malware.
- Impersonating CantonCap, its staff, a venue, an issuer, a public figure or another member, including through a username, a photo or a link.
Market manipulation and misleading content
- Pump-and-dump schemes, coordinated campaigns to move a price, wash-traded volume presented as real interest, and statements you know or suspect to be false that could affect a price.
- Fabricated figures, edited screenshots, invented listings, partnerships or endorsements, and rumours presented as fact.
- Trading on, or encouraging others to trade on, information you received in confidence, such as inside information about an issuer or a venue.
- Claims that CantonCap endorses, ranks or verifies an asset other than through its published methodology.
Undisclosed promotion
- Promoting an asset, a venue, an issuer or a service without saying that you are paid, rewarded or otherwise connected to it, as section 3 requires.
- Posting or writing for someone else in exchange for payment or tokens while presenting it as your own independent view.
Unlicensed financial activity
- Soliciting investments or deposits, offering to manage funds, selling trading signals, promising returns, or offering financial products or services that need a licence you do not hold.
Spam
- Repetitive or bulk posting, mass mentions, unsolicited advertising, referral and affiliate links, and promotion unrelated to the discussion. A member may publish at most ten posts in any ten minutes.
Abuse
- Harassment, bullying, threats and incitement to violence.
- Hateful content that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or another protected characteristic.
- Publishing someone’s private information, such as their address, phone number, identity documents or the owner behind a wallet, without their consent.
- Sexual content, graphic violence, and content that encourages self-harm. Any content that sexualises minors is removed and reported to the authorities.
Illegal content and others’ rights
- Anything illegal where you or we are, and anything that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights, including images you do not have the right to use as a profile photo or an article’s cover.
Gaming the system
- Using several Accounts to amplify yourself, to vote more than once or to evade a pause or a ban, trading or coordinating reactions, votes or follows, and filing reports you know to be unfounded.
3. Say where you stand
If you hold the asset you write about, are paid or otherwise rewarded to write about it (in money, tokens, allocations or anything else of value), or work for or with its issuer or a venue that trades it, say so clearly in the post or the article, where a reader sees it before they act. A short note is enough: “I hold this”, “Paid promotion”, “I work at the issuer”. Paid content must be marked as such from the start, not added later.
4. Writing for News
Articles must meet the same rules as posts, and a little more: state facts accurately, name your sources and link to them where you can, keep opinion recognisable as opinion, and use only text and images you have the right to publish. Our team reviews articles before they are published, unless we have allowed an author to publish directly, and may accept an article, send it back with a note, or take it down later if it breaks these Guidelines. A review is not a check of every fact and not an endorsement. Articles by the CantonCap desk are written by our team and published under the CantonCap name.
5. Posts and articles are not advice
Posts and articles are the views of the members who write them. CantonCap does not check, endorse or adopt them. The sentiment gauge on an asset’s page counts each member once, by their bullish or bearish vote or otherwise the lean of their first post on that asset, over the last seven days; it is a tally of opinions, not a signal or a forecast. See the Disclaimer.
6. Reporting content
Every post has a Report action. Choose the reason that fits (spam, scam, abuse, misleading, or other) and add a note if it helps. Each member can report a post once, and never their own. The author is not told who reported them. You can also block a member, which removes their posts from what you see and stops them replying to you, reacting, following you or notifying you.
When three reports are open on a post, it is hidden automatically until a member of our team reviews it; its author still sees it, marked as hidden. We aim to review every report within 24 hours.
You do not need an Account to report content, including an article or a profile, or content you believe is illegal: write to support@cantoncap.cc with the subject “Content report”. Please include where the content is (the link to it), why you believe it breaks these Guidelines or the law, your name and email address (unless your report concerns child sexual abuse material, which you may report anonymously), and a statement that you believe in good faith that your report is accurate and complete. We confirm that we received your report, decide on it promptly and with care, and tell you what we decided and how to challenge it.
7. Copyright and trademark complaints
If you believe content on CantonCap infringes your copyright or trademark, write to support@cantoncap.cc with the subject “Copyright notice” or “Trademark notice”, and include:
- the work or mark you say is infringed, and proof that you own it or act for its owner;
- the link to each item you say infringes it;
- your name, postal address and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law, and that the information in your notice is accurate.
We may remove or disable the content and tell the member who posted it, sending them your notice (we may withhold your contact details where the law allows). The member may reply to us with the reasons they believe the content is lawful or was removed by mistake. We may then restore it unless you tell us that you have started legal proceedings. A notice that is knowingly false may make the sender liable.
8. What we do
We look at what was posted, its context, how serious and how deliberate it is, and the member’s history. Depending on that, we may:
- dismiss the reports and restore a hidden post;
- hide or remove a post, send back or take down an article, or remove part of a profile;
- pause a member’s ability to post until a set time;
- suspend or close an Account, and refuse a new one;
- report content to the authorities where the law requires it or where someone’s life or safety may be at risk.
We act at once on scams, threats and content that endangers anyone, without waiting for reports. Decisions are taken by people on our team; the only automatic step is hiding a post with three open reports until a person reviews it.
9. Repeat infringers and misuse of reports
We suspend, and in appropriate cases close, the Accounts of members who repeatedly break these Guidelines or repeatedly post content that infringes others’ rights, after warning them where that is appropriate. We may also stop acting on reports from people who repeatedly file reports or notices that are manifestly unfounded, after warning them.
10. Statement of reasons and appeals
When we hide or remove your content, send back or take down your article, pause your posting, or suspend or close your Account, we tell you by email or in the product, unless the law prevents it or the content is deceptive spam. Our statement says what we restricted and how, the facts and the rule or the law we relied on, whether the decision followed a report or our own review, whether any part of it was automatic, and how you can challenge it. Where the EU Digital Services Act applies to what we do, this statement is the one its Article 17 requires.
If you disagree, or if you reported content and disagree with our decision, write to support@cantoncap.cc within six months, with the subject “Moderation appeal”, saying what was affected and why you think the decision was wrong. A member of our team who did not take the original decision reviews it where we can arrange that, and we tell you the outcome without undue delay. If we got it wrong, we reverse it.
If you are in the European Union, you may also be able to refer a dispute about a moderation decision to an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under the Digital Services Act, and you may go to court. These routes remain open to you whatever we decide.
11. Points of contact
Members, authorities and anyone else can reach us about content, including under the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act, at support@cantoncap.cc. We correspond in English. We have not appointed a legal representative in the European Union; authorities can contact us directly at that address.
12. Changes
We may revise these Guidelines as the community grows. The date at the top records the current revision, and we announce material changes in the community before they take effect.
