CCView's September Canton Pulse: 35 Million Transactions, 203 Million CC Net Issuance and 10 New Featured Apps
The explorer's monthly report shows activity roughly flat against August, a lower burn ratio, fewer first-time parties and app rewards concentrating further, with Temple taking 42.7%.
The Canton Network processed 35.0 million transactions in September 2026, 0.7% fewer than in August, according to Canton Pulse, a monthly report published on 1 October by the explorer CCView. The report, which CCView says draws only on public Canton Network data, also shows more CC issued net of burns and a narrower spread of featured app rewards.
Activity
By CCView's count for September:
- Transactions: 35.0 million, down 0.7% on August.
- Active parties: 456,173, down 1.7%. Only 24,011 parties transacted for the first time, against roughly 65,000 the month before.
- Traffic purchased: $48.8 million, down 3.4%, most of it by the top four validators.
- Validators: 1,409 at month end, up 7.1% on August and 23.3% since April.
CCView noted that average daily activity was slightly higher, as September has one day fewer, but that activity declined in the final week.
Canton Coin issuance and burn
CCView counts 645.8 million CC minted and 442.6 million CC burned in September, for net issuance of 203.2 million CC, up 4.9% on August. The burn ratio, burned against minted, fell to 68.5% from 71.1%. CCView puts circulating supply at 39.65 billion CC, up 0.7% over the month. Burn on Canton comes from purchases of network traffic.
Featured apps
Ten applications were granted featured app status in September. Those named in the report include Cancore and Excellar on 5 September, Modulo on 12 September, Hashnote on 18 September, PixelPlex on 20 September and Nexode on 23 September.
Rewards became more concentrated. CCView says the top ten of 95 featured apps received 88.9% of app rewards, up from 77.5%. App rewards made up 72.8% of the reward pool. The top four were:
| App | September app rewards | Share |
|---|
| Temple | 184.79M CC | 42.7% |
| C8 Wallet | 50.32M CC | 11.6% |
| Kora | 42.51M CC | 9.8% |
| Ember | 34.14M CC | 7.9% |
Why it matters
The figures suggest a network holding its activity level rather than growing, with fewer newcomers and net CC issuance rising as burn slipped. For CC holders, the burn ratio is the number to watch: it shows how much of new issuance is offset by fees paid for network use. These are CCView's own measurements, and the report says figures may be revised in later issues. The report discloses that PixelPlex operates a Canton validator and submits featured app applications, and says CCView receives no compensation from any entity it names.
