Canton Strategic Holdings Reports Its First Operating Revenue in Q2 2026, Holding 3.71 Billion CC
The Nasdaq-listed Canton Coin treasury company booked $1.50 million in revenue, mostly from locking CC for other network participants, and a net loss of $19.25 million, according to its results release.
Canton Strategic Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: CNTN), a listed company that holds Canton Coin (CC) as its main treasury asset, released its results for the second quarter ended 30 June 2026 on 14 August 2026. The release was furnished to the US Securities and Exchange Commission as an exhibit to a Form 8-K. The company says it was the first quarter in which it recorded revenue under the digital asset treasury strategy it launched in November 2025. SEC records show the company was called Tharimmune, Inc. until February 2026.
The quarter in figures
All figures below are the company's own, taken from the release; the financial statements in it are unaudited.
- Revenue: $1,495,859, against nothing in the same quarter of 2025. Of that, $1,304,633 came largely from its locking-as-a-service (LaaS) program and $191,226 from validator and Super Validator rewards.
- Net loss: $19,254,826, or $0.08 per share from continuing operations. It includes an unrealised loss of $23,735,950 on digital asset holdings, which the company attributes to a fall in the CC reference price relative to its weighted-average cost.
- CC holdings: 3,714,204,876 CC with a fair value of $523,353,752 at 30 June, against a cost basis of $584,064,579.
- Cash: $37,241,568, up from $12,007,148 at the end of 2025.
- Adjusted EBITDA, a non-GAAP measure the company defines itself: a loss of $820,449.
Where the revenue comes from
Canton's rules require Super Validators (CIP-0105) and featured applications (CIP-0116) to keep a minimum amount of CC locked. Under LaaS, launched on 23 April 2026, the company locks its own CC on a customer's behalf and keeps legal and beneficial ownership of it. Depending on the contract, it is paid through an interest rate, a share of the customer's network rewards or an equity grant.
The company also operates a Super Validator. It reports approved weight of 15, with 4 under CIP-0102 and 11 under CIP-0114, of which 0.5 was active at 30 June. CIP-0102 is listed in the Canton Foundation's index under the company's former name. Active minting began on 9 May 2026, when the company met the first of eight deliverables under CIP-0102, and it earned 1,253,679 CC on that weight in the quarter, including a one-time catch-up of rewards held in escrow since January.
The company expects the remaining 14.5 weight to unlock in stages through the first quarter of 2028. That depends on meeting deliverables, approval by the Canton Foundation's Accountability Committee and, under CIP-0114, keeping its CC holdings at or above a set threshold.
