Left Lane Capital led the Series A. HIFI, which converts US dollars into USDCx for Canton wallets, says it handles more than $7 billion a year in volume across 87 countries.
The pilot would combine state safety-net benefits into programmable payments on Canton, starting in three unnamed states in early 2027, subject to federal approvals.
Visa calls itself the first major global payments company in the role; both programs are milestone based, with rewards held in escrow and the commitments kept confidential.
